RPI E*ntrepreneurship Initiative

Overview: RPI is one of the best known technical universities in North-East with emphasis on Entrepreneurship. Over the last 184 years RPI graduates have excelled in creating trendsetting companies locally and globally.

Challenge: Keeping their focus in mind, RPI created an office of Vice Provost of Entrepreneurship to involve students and faculty with entrepreneurship initiatives world over. Rob Chernow, the Vice Provost of Entrepreneurship, conceptualized a series of lectures, workshops, events, competitions to promote the cause of entrepreneurship in the student community. The initiative required an internet presence and a tech partner with experience in bringing it to life.

Solution: BA – Data Solutions worked with the office of Rob Chernow and RPI Media Planning to lay the foundation of the Entrepreneurship (ESHIP) campaign with the web presence of Rock the World Concert. In following semesters we followed up the offline initiatives with a portal showcasing the lectures, workshops, events, registration and schedules, videos and results, speaker and alumni bios, case studies, school details, faculty sections and other secured sections.

Results: The University President saw ESHIP website as a very strong resource for promoting the entrepreneurship and encouraged the faulty to develop their own sections and modules on the website.

Traffic Violation Processing

Overview: BA – Data Solutions provides its violation processing services to one of the largest car rental companies in North America. Our client has locations in all of the major airports and cities.

Challenge: Our client receives thousands of traffic-related violation tickets everyday. These violations were accrued by their renters for parking, jumping red lights, nonpayment of tolls, etc. They were faced with a challenge; they required a standardized electronic feed to charge the credit card of the person renting the car associated with the violation.

Solution: BA – Data Solutions used our expertise in document management coupled with our knowledge of violation processing to design an effective solution specific to car rental violations. Our client was now able to bill the correct individual for the violation they accrued while renting.

Results: As a result of BA – Data Solutions document management services, our client no longer had to worry about different county formats, types of violations, issuer addresses, medium of ticket (be it hand written, scanned or digital) or the total outstanding amounts of citation. BelWo delivered a final product that saved the car rental company both time and money.

Clinical Trial Data Management

Overview: Criterium Inc. is a global, full-service, and technology-driven contract research organization that offers a unique mix of high-quality and innovative clinical research studies and solutions.

Challenge: Criterium is involved in multiple medical research studies and clinical trials. The patient data, generated during the form filling stage of the study, is confidential, large in volume and required to be processed meticulously and accurately. Our client, Criterium, was in need of a solution that would speed up the information processing to ensure the usefulness of the medical research data.

Solution: BA – Data Solutions created a customized, 24/7 system for processing the life cycle management of Criterium’s Clinical Research Forms (CRF). The forms are received into BA – Data Solutions system from participating clinical practices all over the world. Our clinical trial document processing team, which have been specifically trained to understand medical terminology, interprets and converts each handwritten field into digital data with meticulous accuracy. The processing tools are specially designed to follow the study control rules as mandated by our client.
